I thought about making a review from this new John Chow ebook, The Ultimate Blog Profit Model, but then I came to the conclusion that it would be even better if I follow each advice given on that ebook to see if it REALLY brings in something new and interesting.

So, if you’re interested on this new experiment, come back often, as we’ll see which is the real power and knowledge of the so called Probloggers.

And I was about to quit blogging, at least quit posting on this blog, until I saw many friends letting their blogs die and that made me think.

Losing motivation, more important things to do (University), didn’t have any tool at all to enhance my posts and increasing my marketing appeal. I wanted to keep the blog post level at one per day, and that’s not possible unless you’re making a living off your blog… So I felt like I was letting my audience down if I was not able to maintain that blog posting frequency.

But I thought, let’s give it a second chance, posting when I’m able to and posting about I really know, although I always did it.

So from now on you will be able to enjoy with my wonderful and amazing posts… Kidding, but I’ll update this more frequently than the last months.

This is the sixth month report.

Not a lot of changes happened during last month. I’ve been pretty busy with university exams so I decided to shut down post production a bit instead of posting low quality articles.

Anyway, there are some posts that deserve a special mention.

As for the blog stats, I’ve added a new way to make money blogging thanks to Justhost which gives me $60 for each referral I get, which is quite a lot.

This has boosted my earnings, although I still have to break the $300 – $400 average I make monthly.

Daily visitors remains the same, still have to break the damn 100 UV/day barrier. Still happy though.

Pageviews remains the same also, with 2.3 pageviews per visitor. The average time spent on the site did decrease to about 2 minutes per visit, which is still enough to keep me happy.

There’s stuff –something for you, for free, that you may like- that keeps cooking behind the scenes, most of them are surprise so you will have to wait.

Apart from that, I’m working to create another blog –actually, a web because I won’t update it every day nor even every week so it can’t call itself a blog- with useful info.

I’m supposed to finish my exams within a week so I will –hopefully- stick back to my post frequency.

I’m working hard behind the scenes so I’ll quickly let you know what’s going o non keepblogging.net.

Exciting stuff, certainly.

So, briefly said:

1) I’m working on new video tutorials that will be pretty useful for both beginners and mature bloggers.

2) I’m working on some wordpress designs, cooperating with Carl Ocab from carlocab.com that will be free for you to download.

You’ll surely like that.

3) The post frequency will be decreasing, at least for some time as I need to take care of University. Exams are going on right now and I don’t have too much time to post decent articles.

It’s better to drop the post frequency rather than keep blogging lower quality posts.

4) Guest posts are going well. I’ve already received some guest posts that are currently under review that will be published pretty soon.

5) More ways to make money blogging soon!

Hopefully once I finish my exams –march- I’ll be able to go back with my post frequency -6 posts per week- with high quality articles.

It seems like my fear was absolutely justified.

Remember my post telling that my Twitter account had been banned? You can check the post here if you haven’t, but to sum up, I was complaining because my Twitter account had been banned without any reason.

Better said than ever: without any reason.

I submitted a ticket to Twitter support that never got answered back, but I already know what happened –which I also explained on that post-

What happened is that a funny guy started to create multiple accounts and following me. Once done, the guy reported me because of spam –which is absolutely stupid and ridiculous- and achieved what wanted.

I don’t know why, but that happened.

Anyway, I created a new Twitter account. You can follow me @ Sam_kb if you feel like so.

Beware as people just don’t like to play fair.

Today I woke up and like every other day I start browsing the net, looking for new posts on my favorite’s blogs, reading news and… checking email.

I suddenly saw an email from Twitter support, telling that my Twitter account has been suspended –God knows if temporally or for life- due to “strange activity”. Hmm,  this is pretty interesting.

Of course I quickly contacted support for more information regarding this “little misunderstanding”.

I haven’t got an official feedback yet but firsts impressions are that someone created multiple Twitter accounts, followed me and, after that, blocked me, turning my account into a possible spam one.

Some guys just act like this to kill competition as their lack of skills to face on the battlefield with better content, and that’s something I assume.

Can’t say I’m not worry though, because if that was the reason why my Twitter account has been suspended then killing a Twitter account can be easier than counting one, two, and three.

That’s a similar problem that some users were having with Digg, where a specific amount of complains –even those given without any proofs of spam or fraudulent behavior- leaded to permanent ban.

Just thought it would be interesting to follow this issue as it’s a matter that regards us all.

This is the fifth month report. You may want to check the report from the previous months.

I’ve barely saw any changes, the blog traffic keeps the same, still, I was able to make a few bucks this month too.

The unique visitors average remains the same, about 100 – 130 uniques per day. As I saw no changes –which is good because it didn’t fall but bad because it didn’t increase- I’m working to find new traffic sources… Will keep you posted.

The pageviews per visitor increased to 2.8 pageviews. The new design helped a lot because of the way the post are displayed now.

The time spent on my site went down a bit. It’s now on the two minutes mark, which is pretty good.

Can’t complain though, the blog made me a few bucks. As I love to always show proofs –mainly because it’s easy to say “I make money blogging” without adding any single proof- so here’s a screenshot from my Paypal account, from December ’09. (Click on the image to see it on a bigger size)

One of the best ways to get unique and pretty useful content is by interviewing successful bloggers, so I wrote a post about how to make good interviews.

My blog is about blogging tips that help to make money blogging, so you really should read this post about 50 quick blogging tips that will help you being a better blogger.

One of the posts that got a high click rate was this one about how I increased my sales, especially because I included a Paypal screenshot with more than $400 earned on sales. You may want to check it.

As some of you know, I’m a law student, and it’s amazing that apart from studying laws, I’m also able to learn blogging tips at university. Check the post to see which blogging tips I learn there.

Last month of the year, the fourth month and I was already making 3 digits per month! These are the posts I -and readers- consider the best ones:

The first part of this review post I included an article about nofollow and dofollow tags. On November I realized that the noindex tags were getting a lot of misunderstanding too so I decided to make a table about the differences about nofollow, dofollow and nofollow tags, so if you still don’t know the effects and differences between those tags, check the post as soon as possible.

One of the first tasks you should do if you’re a new blogger is to choose whether your domain will be displayed with or without www. It’s very important. Check the post to know why and how to do it.

We all lost our main source of traffic; one of the reasons might be the Google Sandbox effects so I wrote a post about it and about what to do when losing the main traffic source.

I’d say that 90% of bloggers only use Google Adsense as income source but, can Google Adsense hurt more than help? Check the post to know the answer.

A similar percentage is writing an ebook too, but, do you really need to write your own ebook?
