I’ve receive an email from a new blogger today and I was actually shocked.
The wrote that his blogs had always got indexed in Google, but always took too much time to get indexed.
It surprises me that, nowadays, a blogger doesn’t get its blog Google – indexed within 24 hours, as there are many ways to accelerate this process.
The trick to get a fast indexing process on Google is to get a link on a site that get’s frequently crawled by Google bots, so it can be followed by spiders.
So,
How to get indexed in Google within a day
1) Social bookmarking: No doubt. Get a link on Digg by submitting a post and you’ll get indexed within 24 hours. This can be applied to any social bookmarking site, because Google crawls them a few times per day.
2) Submitting your blog -
2.1) Directory submissions: Depending on which directory you submit your site, Google will crawl the site and find you link, follow it and index it. If you don’t like to do submissions, there are tons of services out there from people offering manual submission to do-follow directories for a very small price. Apart from that, I also post a directory list from time to time.
2.2) Article submissions: Have you heard about Ezine? ArticlePR? They are sites on which you can submit post so they can be exposed. Apart from getting PR and Traffic, these kind of sites get crawled frequently too, so a link there to your blog will get you a fast indexing.
3) Backlinks: Every kind of backlinks such as comments helps to accelerate the indexing process. Don’t care about do follow or no follow blogs. If it’s do follow, it’s better, but to get indexed it doesn’t mind.
SEO Tip: Remember the anchor text. VERY important on SERPs.
4) Submit: Submit your sitemap to Google using Google Webmaster tools. You’ll facilitate Google’s mission, and that’s always good.
5) Take a look at the sites you’ve an account at. Those sites have surely a great Google Rank, so they should be crawled quite a lot times per day. When signing up for an account, some sites may give you the option to add your personal blog or website. Even if it’s a no follow link it’s a great opportunity to get listed on Google’s index within a very short time frame.
People use to underestimate this “silly” trick, but in fact it’s a great tool ready to be used by bloggers.
You should be very careful looking at each and every opportunity you have to leave a link (without spamming) pointing to your site.
This, apart from letting you get a higher Google PageRank and, when starting, helping you to get indexed on Google, will increase your backlinks, and, as you probably know, backlinks + anchor text = Google Frontpage.
I can’t remember more ways now, do you? Comment them if so, please.
