Taking care of your posts looking is pretty important for several reasons, but most bloggers don’t take this as serious as they should.

So today I’ve decided to tell you how I do to make my posts more eye appealing.

Let me first start, as usual, by stating some reasons about how posts appeal can help you.

Reasons to take care of your posts appeal

1) Your readers will want to read the post. When making a sad post (no images, no colors etc) chances are that readers won’t stay too much on your blog. Apart from titles, I’d say that post appealing is the most important factor when it comes to persuade readers.

2) Coming-back effect: Making eye appealing posts will have an immediate effect on your numbers of loyal readers, which will be increased. Apart from good content, I’d say it’s the most important factor when it comes to get loyal readers.

3) Easier to read: It’s more comfortable / enjoyable to read colored posts.

Now that I gave my personal thoughts about why you would want to take care about your posts looking, let me write you how I do to improve my posts performance.

Increasing posts appealing

1) Sketches: When making large posts, you can add an outline for an easier read and understand. Apart from that, it will make your post looks more eye appealing. As an example:

2) Images: Add images within your posts. You can make them for yourself or google for them. Chose pictures that are related to your post topic. SEO note: remember to edit the alt tags and put some keywords on them.

3) Colors: Using well combined colors can make a post more enjoyable to read, even if its content isn’t the best around.

4) Backgrounds: Use different colors for your background post and article background. Use them on a way that increase the importance of your content, as an example, a black background with a white article background:

5) Highlighting: Highlight important words. Don’t need to use the typical <b> tag, there are tons of colors, use them! SEO note: Use the <b> tags on your keywords (make money blogging, as an example)
