I’ve shown you ways to make money blogging using off page monetization. You can check these series here make money blogging post series.

Although there are still some ways, I’d like to start introducing some on page monetization, as for some ways, such as Google Adsense, I’ll emphasize giving some tricks to optimize the ads.

So, how do it using on page monetization?

Make money blogging using ad networks

What are advertising networks?

In case you don’t know, and as this blog’s intention is to help from the very newbie blogger to the number one blogger, I’ll briefly explain what ad networks are and how they work.
Ad networks are split in two. The advertisers and the publishers. Publishers can’t live without advertisers and advertisers can’t live without publishers. It’s a two ways deal, with an intermediate: the advertising network itself.
Advertisers set up their ads, and, according to the keywords set, they’re distributed within the publishers websites.
Advertisers –> Ad Network –> Publishers –> Public

Chitika.

Chitika is one of these advertising network. As they say, it’s a Search Targeted Advertising service. They will pay users by simply displaying targeted ads by displaying them depending on the keywords you use on posts.
As an example, an advertiser sets up a new ad on Chitika. The ad just redirect to a landing page that’s selling an ebook explaining how a guy made 5K per month using a 56K modem. Let’s say you write a post about some new online way to make money online. Let’s say you write “[…] and that’s the ultimate way to make money using internet”.

In this example, when a reader displays the mouse over the “internet” term, it will get highlighted, and a mini- pup up will be displayed with the title of the ad, just like Kontera. Here’s an Kontera example:
make money blogging chitikaThe GREAT thing about Chitika is that they won’t bothers readers at all. Because the ad is hidden under an underlined term, and the pop up won’t be shown unless the mouse arrow is displayed over the term. Like an off page monetization.
If you’re a publisher, it’s a great way to sell your products, as you’ll receive targeted traffic and a summary of your ad will be displayed without the need to click on the ad, saving you money.
So, what are you waiting to sign up?
PS. When signing, your site will be reviewed, taking 2 or 3 days, just to make sure that your website doesn’t broke any point of their terms of services.
P.P.S. You can check Chitika’s FAQ here
